Parsec supports macOS versions starting from 10.11 (El Capitan) or greater. It also requires metal support. Note that this version is not capable of hosting. Afterward, you can proceed to launch the software. However, you have to ensure that you have an existing Parsec account. Of course, you can easily make one, if you don't have it already.

Installation of the drivers for your controller is the next step. This can take some time to do depending on how well-versed you are in doing this essential task. You have to take into account that Mac only recognizes Direct Input controllers. Thus, if you will utilize the Xbox controller or another device that uses Xinput, you better check out a few more driver options in the market that are also compatible with Mac. The tool will immediately recognize your controller if you’ve correctly installed the necessary driver.

As mentioned, the Mac version of this program doesn’t have the capability to host. It only means that all the network and settings configuration that you need to do to optimize your connection will have to be done on a Windows PC device. Another feature drawback is Mac function keys can’t interact with the gaming PC, so you will have to tweak the default behavior of your Apple keyboard to pass these hotkeys.

Redefines video gaming

The whole idea of Parsec simply redefines video gaming. It enables you to play your favorite local co-op multiplayer games anytime and anywhere you want. However, the Mac version of this program can’t be conveniently enjoyed due to more limitations as compared to its Windows version.
